Progress of Building Stabilization and Restoration

The original Ybor City factory of the Ferlita Macaroni Co. was saved from demolition and is under restoration and rehabilitation by SALT Construction Company.  Kenneth Ferlita, the factory owner's grandson is also the project's architect with Hafner Ferlita Architects. The factory was used as a pasta factory and a residence for their eight children.  Click here for a view of the old floor layout.

Below are some photographs of the existing condition of the old factory building before the work started and progress photographs of the restoration process by SALT Construction  Below are links to the architectural drawings presented at the BLC Public Hearing on 17 August 2010 which received Conditional Approval by the Commission.
